About Baunfire

Baunfire is a San Jose creative agency focused on corporate websites. Its portfolio includes Karat, Cellares and Lumana. Services include design, development, branding, content strategy, SEO and analytics. Buyers can discuss project work or ongoing agency-of-record support.

Our take on Baunfire

Reviewed by AgencyReview · Updated Oct 2026 · How we review

Baunfire merits a shortlist for a B2B marketing website where brand presentation and explaining a complex product matter. Its published work supports that fit, but buyers should request measurable results and agree on post-launch responsibilities before signing.

What Baunfire does

Baunfire is a web-focused creative agency in San Jose. Its public portfolio supports a clear specialization in corporate marketing websites for technical businesses. The useful distinction is the breadth of work around the website, including visual identity, content and user journeys. That is relevant when an existing brand or explanation of the product needs work before development begins.

The official services page also lists SEO and analytics. Ask which search tasks sit inside the website scope and which need a separate engagement. The reviewed portfolio documents design delivery rather than a long-running acquisition program.

Pricing and engagement

Clutch listed a $25,000+ minimum and $150-199 hourly rate when checked on October 1, 2026. These are directory-listed figures, not a binding estimate.

Baunfire offers project-based and agency-of-record arrangements. Ask for a written division between discovery, brand work, content, development and ongoing support. Confirm revision rounds, third-party asset costs, hosting ownership and maintenance.

Who should hire Baunfire

Baunfire merits consideration for marketing teams that need a clearer website for a technical offering. Published examples span recruiting, cell-therapy manufacturing and video security.

Before selecting the agency, bring examples of the buying journey, content owners and conversion actions that matter. Ask Baunfire to connect proposed design changes to those specific needs. This makes the portfolio discussion more useful than a review of appearance alone.

  • B2B teams replacing a dated corporate marketing website.
  • Brands that need identity and website work coordinated.
  • Marketing teams considering ongoing design support after launch.

Who should look elsewhere

Buyers below the listed project minimum should establish budget fit before a lengthy discovery process. Teams purchasing paid acquisition, application engineering or a performance guarantee should ask for evidence specific to that work. The three case studies reviewed here do not answer those questions.

Specify who owns accessibility checks, migration redirects, analytics validation and fixes after launch.

Track record and signals

Karat demonstrates an agency-reported effort to make a technical hiring website more approachable. Cellares shows how visual content can explain manufacturing technology. Lumana documents branding workshops and a redesigned website, with 3D imagery explicitly credited to Ubunzo. Those cases explain the work performed, but do not provide measured before-and-after business results.

Clutch showed 4.9 across 32 reviews at the time of review. Baunfire also publishes agency-selected testimonials on its own site. This assessment is based on public sources, not a firsthand engagement, client interviews or an independent audit of delivered websites.

How Baunfire compares

Evaluate Baunfire against other B2B website studios using the same written brief. Request comparable deliverables, staffing, migration plans and support terms. The best comparison is whether each proposal addresses the same buying journey and ownership requirements.

Ask for a reference relevant to your project and an explanation of how results were measured. The published work supports a web-design shortlist, while leaving quantitative return on investment unresolved.

Who Baunfire Is Best For

Baunfire is a shortlist option for B2B teams seeking a coordinated brand and corporate website project. Its portfolio supports that specialization. Ask for a current proposal, measurable success criteria and clear post-launch responsibilities.

The Baunfire team has been excellent to work with. Juan, Jake, and Niki have exceeded my expectations with their professionalism and efficient project management, and our new website designs are amazing. All members of the team have done their due dilligence to understand our industry, and the design process has been collaborative. I would recommend Baunfire to any company in any industry.

If you care about your company, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. A big red flag: they have all 5-star reviews — no agency is that perfect. Check the dates those reviews were posted. Our company experience was disappointing: the worst follow-through and poor service. They take your money and don’t fix things properly. Save yourself the headache and find a more reliable partner
